MAD CAMP: TREASURE ISLAND!
Mt. Carmel UMC is proud to announce our 4th year hosting MAD Camp on June 17-21, 2019. MAD Camp (Music Arts and Drama) is a Christ-centered day camp designed for children rising Kindergarten through 6th grades. The day camp is Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm with a performance on Friday night at 7pm. The children study, learn, and design an entire musical from start to finish in just 5 days! Campers will put on a free community performance on Friday night at 7pm. This year’s musical is called “Treasure Island” by Celeste Clydesdale. The lead musical director is Ms. Ann Farthing, a retired music teacher with Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Schools. Other drama, music, and art teachers will be part of this incredibly talented staff. We hope you join us. We look forward to helping your child discover his or her God-given gifts this summer. Note: Before and after camp care is available for campers enrolled in the program from 8am-9am, and 5pm-6pm for an additional fee. Mt. Carmel is located on 4265 Ebert Road in Winston-Salem. FARM 2 TABLE CAMP: A TREASURE IN THE FIELD!
Mt. Carmel UMC is proud to announce our 2nd year hosting our Farm 2 Table Camp. The Farm 2 Table Camp is a Christ-centered day camp designed for children rising 1st through 8th grades. The day camp is Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm. The children will learn about the miracle of God’s creation through daily encounters with farm life. They will get to taste and see that the Lord is good! Each day different guests from the county agricultural and 4-H extension offices and local farmers will bring something special to the table. One day campers will take a field trip to a local farm. We hope you join us. The lead camp staff is Edgar Miller who has had over 70 years of farming experience. Other enthusiastic teachers will also be on staff. We look forward to helping your child “grow” to know how precious he or she is in the kingdom of God this summer.
