The Senior Citizens will meet on July 1st in the Gathering Place at 10:00 am. Corporal Sayers from the Forsyth County Sherriff’s Dept. will be here to talk about scams and topics of interest. We will be going out to lunch afterwards. Please note the change in the place of meeting. We welcome Teresa McHugh as our guest speaker Sunday June 13. She is from the Ronald McDonald House. Pastor Doug is attending the Annual Conference at Lake Junaluska. Prayers of peace and comfort go out to the family of Jerry Eddinger, brother of James Eddinger who died this past week. UMYF Cookout for Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner. June 16th at 6 pm. See tear-off sheet on the bottom of the last page of this bulletin. Summer Day Camp registrations are now being accepted. Cost: $110/Week for members. $140/Week for Non-members ($110 for 2nd child). Registration fee: $25. Begins June 14th for 1st – 5th grades. The UMYF is asking that the congregation please continue praying for the youth who will be attending ReCreation Monday, June 27th-July 3rd. UMYF is selling Stocks for $10 to support the youth in their missions. See Mike Queen or Liz White. “Hero Headquarters” VBS will be held July 26th – 30th from 6-8:15 pm. Volunteers are needed. Please see Amy Wells. Details in June Newsletter. Be sure to read the newsletter for the new ministry “Growing God’s Garden – for young and old. Look for names on the tree in the Narthex. The Christmas Store will be on Nov. 13th 8 am to 1 pm. Mark your calendars for some shopping and a yummy breakfast or lunch. To reserve your table call Amy Wells at 764-5467. Church groups raising funds for ministries, there is no charge. Individual crafters will be a charge of $15 per space. (These funds go to the church.) See you in November. We are now accepting registrations for the 2010-2011 Preschool Class. Applications are available at the office or see Jane Beeding, Director. Pastor Doug will be on vacation starting June 20th – 30th. Rev. Ken Eller will be covering for emergencies. (766-8604) On Sunday, June 27th Pastor Arnold Hilpert of “Food for the Poor” will be here to preach. He is a retired pastor in the ELCA Florida-Bahamas Synod. We thank all the bell players for their hard work and dedication this past year. Players today are: Anne Sink, Mary Sue Harwood, Amy Wells, Ann Farthing, Tammy Moore, Beverly Miller, Patty Doyle, Liz White, Kenny White and Mike Queen.
