At age 43. As of July 4th, 2003 this is my 20th year of ministry in the Western N.C. Conference. I have served as Pastor at Central U.M.C. in Denton for the past eight years, and prior to that at a Methodist Church near Mocksville (and prior to that at Methodist churches near Rutherfordton).

I was born in Atlanta (Oct. 21, 1959), grew up in Charlotte, and graduated from UNC Charlotte (1981), Duke Divinity School (1984), and finished my D.Min. work at Drew Seminary in New Jersey in 1993.

I was ordained an Elder at Lake Junaluska by Bishop Jones. My wife and I met while serving as counselors at Camp Tekoa in Hendersonville, and were married at Love's U.M.C. in Walkertown on May 26, 1984. All three of my children enjoy attending Camp Tekoa each summer.
