On November 1, 1893, Mount Carmel UMC was organized in an old frame dwelling house near the home of J.C. Patterson. On January 6th, 1894, the present building site was selected. We celebrated 108 years of service for our Lord with the observance of Homecoming this year on Sunday, November 4th. Rev. Jeff Sypole, a former member of our Church and presently pastor of Brower’s Chapel UMC. in Asheboro, was our Homecoming preacher this year. Mt. Carmel would like to thank everyone that made this celebration day a very special one. God Bless You. |
